Hi all !
I've just taken delivery of my SQ ELO LP
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....om=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=370067588689&fvi=1
and given it a quick play (in stereo). I thought my system was playing up because there's no lead vocal in Look At Me Now, my favourite track ! There's just a really faint vocal with a bit of ambience, and a backing vocal which pops up every now and again at full volume in the left channel. I read somewhere (on the Wendy Carlos site I think) that incorrectly mixed quad-to-stereo matrixing can cause some out of phase parts to disappear for ever and I reckon this is one of them. Can anyone confirm or deny this ?
Irrespective of this, I'm very chuffed with my purchase and all the other tracks seem to not be missing any major mix parts. Can't wait to decode it properly.
Cheers for reading this far
Jem.
