Some of us are real addicts. Please post your purchases of releases that you bought again because of an Atmos release. Although you own a surround version of it (quad or 5.1)!

I confess:

Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon
Pink Floyd - Animals

I forgot (how could I?):

Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells (5.1, new 5.1, 4.0 SACD and finally the BD-A)
Rush - Signals

Some more to follow, I'm sure!

(I can tell you, I own several CDs of those above, Vinyl as well, but this is not the scope here.)

Only The Yes Album (I previously had the 2014 CD/Blu-ray edition, which I'm keeping because it still has nice exclusive content) and In the Court of the Crimson King (I had the 40th anniversary edition) so far. Generally, I try to avoid having more than one edition of any album, so it needs to be something incredibly special for me to buy it again.

I recently did this for Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours. I had the 5.1 SACD and did not hesitate to get the Rhino Atmos release. Not so much because it’s my favorite album, but because I thought it had enough depth and range to reproduce well. Plus, it is a stand-alone upgrade rather than a box with unwanted vinyl.

I will keep buying great albums in atmos, i’ve never struggled to sell my old surround disc so will keep doing the same

In the case of DSOTM I had the 5.1 SACD, sold it when I bought the Immersion box set, then sold that when I got the atmos

I haven’t bought any doubles of atmos albums, but Inhave bought several, and I still can’t play theough my ceiling speakers!

There are a handful of CDs and LPs that I have more than one copy of, usually because I forgot I had one already. Hell, with 1300 records, it’s easy to forget.

It's all the multipul copies of each title the makes them start to reallly add up.
At last count I have 15 versions of Pink Floyd - Animals on the hard drive that is contributing to over 3500 PCM albums and another 500 or so SACD's
It just nutting futs.
