Another Technics 4CH Visual Control Center SH-3434 this version has a type of Matrix decoder built in, It has a wood cabinet which I think was an accessary for the unit at the time, looks as if the unit works just remember the voltage difference. It has one bid on it 500 yen. That is about 3.50 US. 5 days to go....

Nice machine there Big Bill, and that has a fine looking wood cabinet. My only concern (if I was bidding, don't believe I will though) is that some of the description translates to=

"This is an item that has been rearranged from household items, and since I am an amateur, I am unable to understand the details.

Power confirmation only."

So it sounds like the owner has no clue about the operation or testing of it, etc. But if it all works, it would be a great piece of gear IMO!

At that price, even if the shipping costs a bit, it's still worth it. My 3433 has a bit of burn-in on the scope. This one looks low mileage, plus it has some extra inputs which might help me out with the new Blu-Ray player. I just registered and might throw my hat at this one.

I have 2 of these units, I have had them for a couple of years now in the same condition as this unit. I know that the tube they use is like a small TV tube and will burn out in the future but at the moment they are still going strong and I love the display they give, good luck if you go for this unit.

My SH-3433 has dimmed a bit. Bought it new in '75.
