According to a review in the August dvd Laserdisc Newsletter the old batman movie from 1966 on BD has an isolated musical score in DTS. Has anyone here heard it. Is it Any good.

Last month it was Batman. Now 20th. Century Fox has announced a Blue Ray collection of all five Planet Of The Apes movies with isolated musical scores in DTS. Are they starting a trend. If so, I hope other studios will follow.

Do you know of any other titles that do this? I have a lot of blus and don't know what features are on each.

These are the only ones I know of. I don't have a Blue Ray player yet so I can't confirm the quality of these. Received this info from reviews. I also wonder how many other titles have this feature. The only one I know for sure is the regular DVD of Yellow Submarine. I hope 20th. Century Fox keeps it up. There are a lot of soundtracks that would be great to hear in 5.1.

Warner home video is now getting into the act. According to a review I read L.A. Confidential will have an isolated musical score by Jerry Goldsmith on both the regular dvd and the bd in 5.1. The reviewer says the isolated track on the dvd sounds pretty good but the bd packs the power. I don't have either so I can't confirm any of this. Phil.

Wholy Format War, Batman!

Oh how I love the Adam West / Burt Ward "Batman" movie.

If I ever need a good laugh it's a DVD I go for.
