If you're in the Pacific Northwest, I can heartily recommend Curt Palme @ ReelToReelTech.com in Langley, BC. Working on decks is his full-time job and he clearly loves his work. I recently bought a refurbished 854-4S from him for $1200 (local pickup) and couldn't be happier with it. He agreed that between the two 3-speed, 10.5-inch reel options—this or the Akai GX-400D-SS—the Sony was the one to have. Unfortunately, the seller of this deck doesn't ship to Canada, so you'd have to figure that part out yourself.
