Dire Straits live box set coming (CD/LP/digital)

I'm not sure if this is already discussed somewhere here, but it's the kind of release I've been really wanting for many years now. Alchemy finally features all the songs including "Industrial Disease" and "Portobello Belle" (both songs only have a few fragments on the original album). On the Night also includes several more songs than the original. Most excitingly, there's a completely unreleased show from 1979. Guy Fletcher remixed all the unreleased material and from the sound of the three Rainbow 1979 tracks, did a tremendous job.



Intriguingly, he said on the Q&A section of his site:

"I’m hoping all DS material will be Atmos sooner or later."

As you can see from the pics, the concept is the same as that of the DS studio albums set and the two Mark Knopfler solo albums sets:

Nice! Alchemy has always been one of my favorite live albums. I've always wanted a complete version. That alone will be enough to get me to buy this.

If Fletcher is at the helm, that isn’t exactly an exciting prospect. I'm really bummed Chuck Ainlay seemingly has no involvement with mixing DS material in Atmos.
