Not sure if this has been posted here before, but this list circulated on the web in 2001, and I think it's legit as well, look at all the titles from this list that showed up years later like REM, Talking Heads, Seal, etc. What's obviously tantalizing is all the ones that went unreleased...I wonder how many of these are sitting, complete, in Warner's vaults along with the unreleased quad mixes from the mid-late 70's?

Who wants to liberate some of these mixes? :)

a better question is who wouldn't want them liberated? I'll bet some 500 or so will go fying off the shelf
with our group alone. Put them on BD and I'll bet a lot more will go out the door. I can make room for most of them in my little space, and would jump at the chance to get them.

Dang, Jean Luc Ponty's "Cosmic Messenger"....great album...although my favorite (and almost everyone else's) is "Enigmatic Ocean"....

Thanks for this list!

That list is legit. We had a member here at QQ named "Mike Cunningham", and his job was to create lists of the upcoming surround HiRez releases and post them here. You can probably search and find them. "timbre4" took that job over when Mike went away, but around that time, most of the releases went away as well! :)

If these titles were in the racks instead of the drek from Silverline, maybe more fans and folks would have noticed.........

Something Anything would have been really nice, all on a single disk.

Being a proof-reading freak I have de-compiled those titles that actually got released:

The Alanis album was not "Jagged Little Pill". It was "Under Rug Swept"

The Blues Brothers SOUNDTRACK?!??! That would be fantastic!! I'd sacrifice a few virgins to the volcano gods for that one!! One I would also love as it's a guilty pleasure would be The Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack. I know, I know.... not a Warner title. But it's an OST that Id' love to get in Multichannel. Lotsa vocals/instrumentation going on in that album. Even the stereo mix gets playful with some ping-ponging.

I got everything I need..almost, but I ain't got the Blues Brothers in MC.

BTW: Graceland isn't a Linda Ronstadt title. See post #1 in this thread. I assume that should be What's New by LR, which was released. At this point, Graceland won't be coming to DVD-A, since Paul Simon took his masters, which he owns outright, to Columbia earlier this year.

I know what I know, and I know what I have said.

Some interesting albums there which could have benefitted from an adventurous mix. Would love to have seen the Cars, Faith No More, Jane's Addiction, and Rundgren in the hands of someone who would have really pushed the envelope.
