I'm in search of the best sounding "hits" collection by Frank...I've purchased all the SACDs except the Jazz Supreme disc...and I don't want vinyl...so we are talking about CDs here...I've stayed away from recent releases due to the "modern mastering" techiques...so any suggestions would be appreciated...

Sorry Clint, I've only got the standard Best of the Columbia and Reprise years on CDs...originals of Wee Wee Hours and Only the Lonely, his best stuff.....on vinyl.

I'd really like to have a compilation of his hit songs...he has SO many songs...and really the ones I like the best are from the 1960's...and some from the 50's...like...All the way...Young at heart...Love & Marriage.....but songs before that I'm not really that interested in...I'm just cautious of the recent releases that have been remastered several times...I'll spend some time and do the research...I was just hoping that someone out there had some of the music and could point me in the right direction:D

Clinty, besides the exceptional recent ONLY The LONELY CD [remastered] which I highy recommend......Concord Records did release some fine sounding REPRISE remasters a few years ago which get kudos: https://www.amazon.com/Complete-Rep...SGPTE0CJSDC&psc=1&refRID=BQF1PWGTWSGPTE0CJSDC

These three recommended RBCDs were originally remastered by Concord Records under the auspices of the Sinatra Estate and sound pretty darn good.

I likewise have all the remastered MoFI STEREO/MONO SACDS AND AGREE THEY SOUND EXCELLENT.

Clint, I have several of the Mo-Fi releases but as you know they're not encompassing AFAIK.
I do have The Capitol Years 3 CD book that I bought what seems like ages ago & I really like it.
I'm a particular fan of Frank's 50's stuff, but not exclusive.
This collection covers 53 thru 60 up until he formed Reprise Records.
I have no idea what the reviews or availability status is.

I agree, Milt, the Capitol Years book [which includes 3 RBCDs] is quite good.

I'm astonished that with Sinatra's 100th Anniversary the Sinatra Estate hasn't seen fit to release his REPRISE years in sterling new hi res remasters.

The ones I did mention above [covering 5 complete Reprise albums] are now being released by Universal and I do highly recommend all of them, especially The Concert Sinatra which is quite exceptional.
