OK, boys and girls. I took a chance and bought this title, assuming it was just stereo. The description didn't say a thing about surround. But, I figured, I really like old Loverboy as they were part of the soundtrack of my mischievous years.
This is a new release, just got it today. It does have DTS HD Master 5.1. Do know that it's a typical live concert with a lot of crowd noise and delayed elements from the band in back to create a nice you were there experience.
It was filmed on 16mm, so there is about as much grain as I've ever seen in a BDA release. That said, in my opinion if you're a Loverboy fan and have been craving some sort of live footage from their prime...this is it.
The fidelity is strikingly super. As a band, at this time, they were well oiled and very tight. This thing cranks and deserves to be on a big screen with the lights off. Not much money and only 10 songs or so as this was pieced together from some pretty raw footage.
I will pull this out and watch it a good amount. Really, a quality representation of Loverboy in the early 80's.
