Anybody have a copy of the service manual and schematic for this demodulator? I've done a search on line, and when I tried to download and open them, it says the files are corrupted.
Could someone email me copies?

If not, I have two questions if anyone knows:
1.) The two seraration controls push in, and when they do they make a clicking sound like an on/off switch would. What is that doing?
2.) The front panel CD4 meter has a light that is blown. I took it apart, and it has a bulb that looks just like a glass cartride fuse. Anybody know the stock number, the voltage, and where to purchase?

Thanks in advance.

Pushing the Separation knob in is supposed to light up the meter so you can have a visual guide to tuning in the demodulator.

If you remove the bulb, it should have fine etching that will give you the voltage and amperage on the end caps. The common size is 8 volts AC, 150-250 mA. These are no longer common, but can be found on ePay. I have seen 7 volt and 12 volt versions, so please double check. I have the demdulator but haven't had a need to take the bulb out, nor do I have a manual either. When you push and turn each of the controls, the meterr should light up and the needle is supposed to deflect for each channel separately. My QD240 is not working right, or my turntable/cartridge isn't compatible, so I don't get the expected responses. I can't believe how hard it is to get an operator's manual for this. I also don't know which test records work best with it. Some have separate tracks for left and right separation, others use the same one for both sides. I would guess the former would be more accurate with this demodulator. I am going on set up info gleaned from Panasonic and Technics manuals for the advanced settings.
