I wouldn’t have thought the Carly blu-ray was considered a Quadio release either.

yes, but what I think he's referring to here is getting the bundle price when you buy 4 Quadios.
Adding these other discs can help offset shipping costs, but they are No Bueno for Quadio Bundle discount
My understanding is it does not have to be a complete bundle to receive the free disc.
Maybe I'm wrong but as long as it's four , it counts as a bundle discount.
Anyone else have some experience with this scenario?
Just because it's a Rhino product and has a quad mix on it doesn't make it a "Quadio" as far as bundle discounts are concerned. Muscle of Love is an expanded edition that includes a quad mix, and the Carly Simon and Chicago discs are Atmos discs that have the quad mix as well. In a super jewel box with a 'Quadio' logo on the front? Quadio. In a High Fidelity Pure Audio (or other) Blu-Ray case, or cardboard packaging? Not Quadio.
Warner Canada just confirmed the 5 (3 +2) quadios I bought do not qualify.
They emphasized that the deal ONLY applied to that bundle.
It's a lesson learned, on my part. OK now bring on the next bundle !

I'm quite happy with my purchases....as these are 5 titles I will listen to.
Your argument that Carly Simon and Chicago discs are not included because they are Atmos as well , and not qualified doesn't hold true , and neither does it hold true because it's a disc in cardboard??
How would you explain away the Atmos and cardboard packaging in regards to
the 4 disc quadio set , priced as three discs , by the cardboard sleeved and all Atmos set by Joni Mitchell, priced at $114.99 CDN ??
Regular quadio discs are $34.98 CDN , so that's a steal of a deal if ever I saw one.
I'm just explaining that the bundle mixes don't necessarily apply to Warner Canada, and I just received confirmation.
I'm happy with what I have purchaed from Warner, and now know Warner Music Canada's policy in regards to bundle purchasing. We have a large number of Canadians on this website, you included, so they should be made aware .
In addition to us Canucks we have many others on QQ from a variety of Countries, they might find this information useful in their own purchases.
I wholly support this Quadio program and will continue to purchase, many other titles yet to come.

I don't have to explain the pricing structure for other products or anything else - If you can't understand that if it's not a single disc in a super jewel case with a Quadio logo on the artwork that it's not eligible for bundle discounts that's on you.

The whole point of this particular situation is that "what occurs in the U.S. , is not always what might happen elsewhere", for us it's in Canada.
So I think a "Heads Up"is necessary . Awareness of particular purchases.
No one was injured during this occurrence , just my wallet , and by very little but who knows maybe this policy will change , and if not , that won't stop me from my purchases from The Quadio program . My support is absolute. And it's a quadio program that I'm proud to be a part of.
I think Steve Woolard and all at Rhino need are continued support , and hopefully everyone is doing just that.

I think that this policy is the same in the US. This has not changed. The Carly and the Chicago were never to be included in bundle purchases for the discount.
So unless your purchase is for all "Quadio" branded discs and not other product, the deal may still hold, no? You did not say that you attempted to buy say Cobham, Mayfield, Ellingtion and Mingus (all four are true Quadio series releases) and see if the discount would be applied.

I would still contend that since it has the “Quadio” logo it should be considered a Quadio release.
Otherwise the determination is arbitrary.
