Sadly I've just seen on the BBC Website that Ginger Baker has died, RIP Ginger
Yes I watched the BBC Documentary on him a few years ago, he struck me as a permanently angry bloke! Brilliant drummer though.OK, I just read the article. He sounds as if he was an asshole. Sorry Ginger, I really did enjoy your music....RIP.
So Did I. A sad but true tale, of those whose fame lead them to commit all sorts of weird things.Yes I watched the BBC Documentary on him a few years ago, he struck me as a permanently angry bloke! Brilliant drummer though.
If your interested in a really good CD where he is the drummer on all tracks, Masters Of Reality-Sunrise On The Sufferbus, out of print and very expensive.

I bought this CD way back when and you're spot on with your recommendation. If my memory is correct, this was reviewed in Stereo Review (Sound and Vision?) magazine with the writer stating: "Cream lives" and he was right. That magazine had critics whose reviews I very much respected, so I bought it based on that and was glad I did. A great album which I still listen to. R.I.P. Ginger.I saw Cream at Madison Square Gardens for there reunion, he was great.
