strange sansui collector

gonefishing911 has been around for a long time.

we have talked several times and emailed more.

seems every time i need to reintroduce myself. but thats ok.

watch his sales - see his completed sales.

ive asked him a million times...."if youre going to ebay something...lemme know."

he never does. so that particular day i check new listings for sansui. (about a week ago)

he lists a sansui 9090 with not a single picture. calls it MINT - says there isnt a scratch. after i hit "buy it now" at a parts machine price of $380.....i check his other auctions.

of course he also listed the european cousin....the sansui 990 blackface....for $380. gone already of course.

sheesh.

i waited a week to pay him - constantly bugging him "what else you got ? what else you got?"

never replied. so i paid him. he already has feedback for the sansui 990. no buyer complaint.

i have purchased a lot from gonefishing911. he once was unbeatable on ebay - said he was going to open a sansui museum. things change. so i guess he sells every now and again.

this forum category is for quad ebay watch....i suggest you watch this guy...if he has purchased it....its in good condition. if he is going to sell it....he always lists as "needs repair" to avoid buyer retaliation.

i have no affiliation with this seller.....but i cant afford everything he sells.....so im hoping this guy works out for someone here.

just for the record - i now own a sansui 9090 - mint....and in original sansui 9090 box.

i powered it up - not a sound.....just the click from coming out of protection mode.

10 minutes later...after wiggling every knob there is...i got sound.

an hour later i had forgotten the thing didnt have sound when i opened it...it sounded very nice.

then i put it in the box...and put it in the basement. i dont do stereo.

oh yeah....so now he lists a sansui g8000. i asked him where a g9000 would be...hint hint. said he didnt have another....but did i want a euro g801.
uh...yes. i really dont. i thought id like the g9...because of totl status....but thats it.

so, i think im going to get a paypal invoice from him some day. then i will have another scary-stereo

yesterday he lists 2 sansui equalizers - se8 and se9.........and i want 2 se9s.

Are either of those EQs in the single picture he posted? I don't see them. The pic looks like a crime scene photo from Quad Bob's den.

no...i dont think theyre in that picture...look at his completed listings....he uses the same picture for everything.

the way he explained it to me was he got burned by someone...so he duznt post a picture and words are debatable as to their definition.....mint....excellent used condition ....POS.....

so - in my opinion...he doesnt get the money he should for his stuff. but in his eyes at least...the money he does get he doesnt have to return due to ebay buyer protection issues.

which reminds me....(new thread) i wish hed send me an invoice for that euro g801. im buying it without seeing it....if he will sell it to me.
