The Jazz Side of The Moon: Music of Pink Floyd
Sam Yahel/Mike Moreno/Ari Hoenig/Seamu Blake

Yea I just got that, the sound is great being Chesky. Great solid placement of the players.
How do you get such surround out of one microphone? I think I must be missing something.
I love the music, I've had a few DSOTM tributes before but most of them left me cold.
This one is very loose with the material so it's not a recreation of the original.
It's kind of like going out with your ex girlfriends sister. Some things remind you of the ex, some are new, some are missing.
Like the last songs "Brain Damage" and "Eclipse" I was really enjoying this then it stoped.

Chesky uses a modified version of the Soundfield Microphone which was designed to record Surround Sound with one mic. That's how they do it.

This SACD has an interesting take on Dark Side of the Moon. Definitely not a re-creation, but interesting.
