Whatever they do, I can’t see them ignoring Apostrophe in its quad mix being that it’s prolly FZ’s best selling 70’s album. I like it more than Over-Night Sensation.

Universal is hot on this catalog and wants to issue everything with any commercial potential in it.

We will get it in due time.
Best selling album period I believe. They’ll definitely get around to it but it will probably be a singular release like Over-Nite.

If they are holding out for exact anniversaries, I don’t know if I can wait until 2028 and 2029 to hear Studio Tan and Joe’s Garage in 5.1

I sure am glad they’re leaving well enough alone and not offering a new stereo mix with these sets. As far as I’m concerned Frank’s original mixes are ‘sacred ground’ so to speak and there’s no need for revisionism in that regard. FZ really knew how to mix stereo, listening on headphones it’s really a trip there’s all kinds of stuff ping-ponging and zipping across the stereo field! I can only imagine the quad is an extension of that greatness.
The album still came out in 1974. Nothing prevents them to include it on a blu-ray. There isn't much left to release from those sessions anyway.

From the latest Zappa mailer.

Well @halbroome have you considered selling some blood for Frank?
We are all going broke this year.
I'm saving THAT for what are no doubt upcoming King Crimson Dolby mixes other than the two so far! (ITCotCK and LARK'S TONGUES IN ASPIC).

<edit: oh s*t, I just received the email about SDE's Duran Duran and Pink Floyd offerings . . . how much is a kidney worth on the black market, anyone?>

Does anybody remember how much cheaper Waka/Wazoo wound up being at Amazon, et al.? More than 20%? All I know is that I originally placed an order at the Zappa store and wound up cancelling it once it emerged that the price was so much better elsewhere. But for the life of me, I can't determine where I eventually bought it--or at what price.
