Got this tonight from the Zappa shop - release date pushed back.
Looks like there will be an Atmos listening experience event .. only 40 tix available ..October 24 in L.A.

Woo-Hooy, another surround event in Los Angeles. It does seem like surround is becoming more of a thing with music lately.
So excited.
Tonight at Dolby Laboratories Hollywood / Vine was the premiere of the mentioned FZ album in Atmos. The entire album was played front to back, plus an opening song selections from previous The Grand Wazoo and Waka/Jawaka sets also in Atmos, and then closing with comments and Q&As with Joe Travers
, Ahmet Zappa, Karma Auger and Erich Gobels.

The music has none of the Atmos mixing evident in the sound, not even a L&R stereo field is evident here, as I kept this filming way down & low-key of course and so sound is just really blah. But picture is ok, and for those that could not attend this is a rough idea of what it was like. I'll leave this up for a week, or at least 5 days so us members can see it, as it's not permanent video posted here.

Probably got some perks from Dolby by using them exclusively. Like the use of (wonderful) Dolby Laboratories Theater in Hollywood for the Over-Nite Sensation Atmos listening party.

My copy was delivered in my mailbox this morning, will give it a spin later. 
Main album in Atmos (first 7 Tracks)
Has sampled through the album on BD in Atmos, played all of Dinah Moe Humm. This is a very good mix, really gave my meters something to work with. Very good fidelity, looking forward to listen to it in full later tonight. The price is high, $120 for 35 minutes of Atmos music, but so be it, it's Zappa after all.
