Im a new member to this site and hope that I can contribute something useful to the Quad community!
The first thing I can contribute regards the Signetics CD894A chip used in the JVC CD-4 Demodulator model 4DD-5.
It is an NE565 PLL.
Which is the same as a National Semiconductor LM565.
I tried it in the JVC Demodulator and have verified it beyond doubt that it works just fine!
You never know until you know!
Just wanted to let ya all know that if you need to replace a CD894A in any Demodulator that the Signetics NE565 or National Semiconductor LM565CN will work in the circuit.
