Have they given you reasons why there is this problem with Blu-ray releases, Stephen?

Is it the manufacturing process or just that demand has outstripped supply?
sometimes it is manufacturing backup and occasionally there might be an issue with something to do with the rights, not just the recordings, but also the artwork, everything has to be agreed by individuals involved with original components

Just placed a new pre-order for this with Importcds, which has a very good price on it. Interestingly, they still show 4/11/2025 as the release date but I'm sure that will change. Hopefully this won't be one of those "unicorn" titles, but you never know. I've always thought World Record was very underrated, and hope The Quiet Zone / The Pleasure Dome eventually gets the same treatment.

very sad, along with several other releases I have been involved with, delayed for various reasons. and especially as World Record just had a fab review in Prog magazine, SWTx
As everyone already surely knows, the Genesis "Lamb Lies Down" 50th anniversary bundle likewise got moved out to June from its original March release date. Last year I also waited months for a deluxe Stones "Satanic Majesties" (from Merchbar) reissue vinyl, August planned release. By December '24 I gave up & asked for a refund, which they DID provide without delay or friction. (I don't know whether or not that ever actually came out.)
I'm reluctant to torch the sellers, no doubt they're as eager to ship the product & book the sales as we are to bask in the excellent new reissues & surround mixes. I remind myself that several earlier new releases HAVE arrived on schedule as planned, most recently Kraftwerk "Autobahn" and Yes "Close to the Edge". So who knows.
BUT I'm now 67 YO & while I'm not exactly at death's doorstep, I appreciate profoundly how sooner is better than later! I'll wait for Genesis "Lamb," but I'm feeling like chronic delays might be a dealbreaker.
I bought VDGG "World Record" as a new release back in '75, and while it's got its moments, "Merglys 3" slapped me hard back then as slovenly filler, and it still offends me. Unfortunate because side 1 & closing track "Wondering" are as good as anything on the preceding two reunion era albums "Godbluff" and "Still Life."
I'll clench my jaw & ride out this initial delay, but IF it stalls again, I might do better to just cancel the pre-order & take my chances on scoring a used or post-release discounted copy after the pre-order full price demand is quenched.

Wow. Meurglys III is an absolute album highlight for me. VDGG don't often rock out like that. I can't wait to hear it in surround. Back to that good ol' YMMV.

A lot of critics told me I should hate M3 for various reasons...
You sure they weren't talking about this one? 😉

World Record seems to be a love it or hate it title from VDGG, particularly Meurglys III. For me, it contains several classic tracks including Masks and Wondering, but I always loved the tortured vibe of Meurglys III. Incredible when it morphs into that twisted, extended reggae beat to the fade out. It's also very well recorded - should sound fantastic remixed into 5.1.
