On the USA 5.1 shop site The Doors LA Woman DVD-A is advertised for $400 or $500 but is out of stock if I remember correctly.

Those are asking prices, I don't think that title is selling for much. Since I owned the L.A. Woman DVD-A and the Perception set, I recently sold my L.A. Woman DVD-A on eBay. The result was something less than spectacular and didn't make the eBay Shocker List here, not even close to being 1/4 of the way there.

The Doors "LA Woman" DVD-A, one of the first I bought, on 2/5/01 for 18GBP here in my local city Newcastle Upon Tyne, is currently advertised on 5point1.com for $195 but is out of stock. I was mistaken in my previously quoted price. Contrary to the comment on my earlier post as to non-inclusion as it is not multi-channel, it certainly is. You also get the pleasure of a "new" verse substituted for one of the others on "Cars Hiss By My Window". On the more recent "Perceptions" DVD-A that song has both old and new verses, making a considerably longer version.

Bearing in mind the general lack of availability of rock multi-channel DVD-As and SACDs it's amazing what you can still get in the normal shops at reasonable prices. This month I've got "The Allman Brothers Band At Fillmore East" (2 SACDs) for 10.73GBP at Asda of all places and their "Eat A Peach" (1 SACD) for $12.99+pp on Amazon Marketplace.

Now I see that a Japanese single SACD of "At Fillmoe East" is due for release on 1/7/10 and advertised on Amazon itself for 99GBP! Wierd stuff indeed.
