I don’t follow the behind the scenes dealings. I assumed Joey had health issues. Drums are so physically demanding. Is that not the case?Yeah man, it is a real bummer that Joey Kramer will not participate, but I assume at the level they are it, lawyers are in charge.
I saw Aerosmith one time, 1991 Cow Palace, Skid Row opened for them, awesome, and then Aerosmith played. One of the best shows I ever went to, I was single, there where chicks everywhere and well, had a great time.
One of the reasons I never saw them back in the day. Their reputation was that they sucked live because they were so wasted. My prime concert years started in '77 and by then it was pretty common knowledge. I imagine they may have been pretty decent live when they first started (or maybe not). There were so many bands that I wanted to see and only so many $$$, so why would I want to go see a disaster? The only time I "attempted" to see Aerosmith was 1984 in Springfield, Illinois. It was a total disaster. I knew Tyler was wasted, but my seats were much further away than this guy. See what he says about it. The only think I do not agree with was his last statement. I can promise you, it was a total crowd meltdown. Outside the arena all the fans were throwing objects at the glass door entrance and smashing glass....I was scared for my life!
I saw Steven Tyler, wasted, fall off the stage. What is your best "wasted celebrity" moment?
I attended Aerosmith's Back in the Saddle tour in 1984 in my hometown of Springfield, Illinois. I was 16 years old and super excited because I had 4th row center stage tickets. The best seats I have ever had before or since then. Here is what I witnessed:
This one article spans Joey Kramer from joint pain-to legal issues.I don’t follow the behind the scenes dealings. I assumed Joey had health issues. Drums are so physically demanding. Is that not the case?
1987's Permanent Vacation, was there first release as a total band, Clean & Sober.

I love that '97-99 era too. The live shows were great! I agree that they haven't topped Nine Lives since it came out. I'd say the closest they've come since then is Music From Another Dimension.Love 9 Lives
