I listened to this back in 1978, I liked the music then and I still like it now, and it's a very good Atmos mix. Voted 9.
Blasphemy !I didn't care for the 'music',
Beware. It dosent ship from inside the US. Mine is on its way from OZ.Its available on Amazon.com for $32.
AP has confirmed that I robot will be nextWaiting with bated breath for this confirmation.
In the heights i’m getting guitar solos, sax solos, keyboards, backing vocals and orchestra, maybe you should try turning up the heights a tad, it does make a differenceIt knocked my socks off. Atmos mix is probably the smoothest mix I've ever heard from Parsons.
Maybe a bit front - rear centric but otherwise excellent. 10
Wow! Where did he give confirmation?AP has confirmed that I robot will be next
Not sure where, someone linked an interview with AP in here and one of the questions was if I robot would get the surround treatment and he said it was next in line, i’ll see if I can find it anywhereWow! Where did he give confirmation?
Awesome news!
I wonder if he is considering going back for Eye, Tales and Turn. I want them all in Atmos!
Sounds promising for I Robot. Would be glorious in Atmos with the correct mix.Not sure where, someone linked an interview with AP in here and one of the questions was if I robot would get the surround treatment and he said it was next in line, i’ll see if I can find it anywhere

Did you play the dedecated 5.1 mix or the 7.1 downmixed to 5.1 ?Whilst I love this album I’m only able to give this release a 7 unfortunately (5.1 set up). You can’t argue that the sound quality has been improved however the mix is far too safe when compared against some of the excellent surround mixes we have had in the last 6 months. I really didn’t hear much going on in the rears at all on this one. I’ve also always found Parsons mixes of his own music to be quite dry as well, I also didn’t like the eye in the sky mix for this reason. Turn of a friendly card in my opinion was the best sounding of the ones he has done to date. Interesting I’ve also just received and played Elton John’s diamonds and The Who’s next stand alone and they are amazing immersive mixes compared to this.
Hi, just the dedicated 5.1 mix so far. Generally I won’t bother with an Atmos version if there is a dedicated 5.1 mix available. I would be interested to hear if the downmixed Atmos mix is better though, so will give it a try.Did you play the dedecated 5.1 mix or the 7.1 downmixed to 5.1 ?
Everyone's outfit is a bit different. I love the Pyramid 5.1 (5.3) I nice surprise when I got this~ about an 8 for me.
