When I think of Jan Hammer I think of one of my all time favorite TV shows...it was WAY ahead of its time with incorporating awesome music in the episodes...

This whole Miami Vice thing really has gotten to me this morning...I might have to watch some episodes today...back in 2010 I bought a box set of the episodes for $48...this one...the picture quality won't win any awards...old DVD type of picture....but having all those episodes completely edited of commericals is cool...I tried recording them myself from TV but it wasn't as good...anyway...this youtube video has some pretty cool glimpses of episodes in the edit job...I just love that series:)...

Sharing this from my Facebook, but first a little background context:

I am shocked and horrified to hear about the murder of Christina Grimmie. I have never followed The Voice to nearly the same extent that my mother has, but this awful incident really does bring to the forefront once again how truly terrible it is when someone takes another's life away. There are so many incidents we will never hear about because some don't always have the same name recognition, but each murder is one too many.
However, as truly horrific as this is, her death should be a reminder to all of us that we should live our lives to the fullest extent that we can and to let our talents shine forth, especially when they can give so much light and life to others around us.
So to Christina, thank you, and may you rest in peace.

Wow that place is like 20 minutes away from me - Saw Lindsey Buckingham there - was an ex movie theatre turned into a love concert venue. Kind of small.

Freaking Orlando Wow

Yes...wasn't Phil's "In The Air Tonight" on one of the first episodes? I thought they were really breaking new ground for a tv series the way they implemented music...

I broke out the Miami Vice series and I've been watching episodes today...In The Air Tonight was featured on one of the episodes...earlier today I watched Glenn Frey in the "smuggler's blues" episode...love that song...,and how about his "you belong to the city"...another great episode...one of the best episodes was with Willie Nelson and Bon Jovi's "wanted dead or alive".....there are so many excellent songs from those shows...Billy Ocean's Carribean Queen...they were really the first tv show to introduce popular music with the scenes..

Although the TV's are billed as "smart TV's"...maybe the builders weren't very smart....check this out

Ah, VERY smart TV.......and a VERY unsuspecting couple.:yikes

Same applies to Iphones/Smartphones. They can be turned on via hackers [or CIA/FBI] and the built in camera/microphone becomes a spy camera/with audio.

Essentially, Big Brother is NOT only watching but listening as well.:phones

Think I'll hold on to my DUMB Plasma TVs until they croak.

I posted an interview with Marshall from Audio Fidelity recently on this thread and in the interview he mentioned some titles he would like to get permission to release...and one of these is from one of my favorite bands...Fleetwood Mac...the album is Then Play On...they were quite a bit different during this period...more blues...so I'm playing it now on CD...like many of the FM albums...this would translate well to hi rez...just makes me more excited about the upcoming Mirage release:)

Not now I don't...but I did "back in the day"...Savoy Brown should have been named Kim Simmonds and a cast of thousands...they had more lineup changes than any sports team...they toured more in the US than in their home country...here is one I remember..
