Ugh...Universal is still trying to push that format...instead of using a format that already exists..
Yep, just muddy's everything up and mostly wastes my time. Ugh, is right.

Hey bro, I learn about new music on this forum almost daily, I’ll never in ten lifetimes be able to listen to it all. I also know there’s tons more out there; and how do you know you’re going to like it unless you try it. I’ve got a thing with grocery shopping also, that I pick up something different to try every trip that I’ve never had before. Can’t believe this is my first time hearing Moby Grape! Just awesome...and this original vinyl from 1969 is a stunner.

Ready to preorder, Springsteen.
Western Stars is the new album from Bruce Springsteen, and his first new studio album in five years. This collection of songs takes his music to a new place, drawing inspiration in part from the Southern California pop records of the late '60s and early '70s. The album was recorded primarily at Springsteen's home studio in New Jersey, with additional recording in California and New York. "This record is a return to my solo recordings featuring character driven songs and sweeping, cinematic orchestral arrangements," says Springsteen. "It's a jewel box of a record." The 13 tracks on Western Stars encompass a sweeping range of American themes, of highways and desert spaces, of isolation and community and the permanence of home and hope. Ron Aniello produced the album with Springsteen and plays bass, keyboard, and other instruments. Patti Scialfa provides vocals and contributes vocal arrangements on four tracks. The musical arrangements include strings, horns, pedal steel and contributions from more than 20 other players including Jon Brion (who plays celeste, Moog, and farfisa), as well as guest appearances by David Sancious, Charlie Giordano, and Soozie Tyrell.

Pretty darn dry alright, but somehow always find more titles to spend money on. Encouraging what foragingrhino said about Doobies Quadio, though, and I’m still deciding on a new TT for QS/SQ that’ll open up my wallet like a hungry Humpback whale. You can always tell on QQ when we are in a drought in terms of new surround material. All these old threads get drudged up from back in the day....lmao You know, sort of like nervous laughing...or chatter. hahaha
Damn, Gene, first time? I was fortunate enough to hear their debut in ‘67 thanks to my older brother. Loved it and their glorious harmony vocals. You have to hear that debut! Can’t believe this is my first time hearing Moby Grape! Just awesome...and this original vinyl from 1969 is a stunner.
