I'm still having a hard time figuring out the difference between a pirated song, or album, and YouTube offering the same for free. 
Hard to believe that on July 12 1967 this performance was on American Bandstand...in glorious black and white...and on July 3rd 1971 Jim Morrison would die at the age of 27..less than 4 years after this show...

Yep..how about poor Ritchie Valens(La Bamba)who was only 17 and Buddy Holly on the same plane was 22...that day was called The Day The Music Stopped(Feb 3, 1959) by Don Mc Clean in the song American Pie..some clever spots in this video clip

hahaha - I love Rock On......admit that I totally grew tired of American Pie....just too overplayed over my lifetime.

I used to hate it "back then"...but so much now...truth is I don't hear it that much...but it fit the post...
Regardless....it's certainly a classic song from the day.

You know that feeling when you find a $5 bill on the sidewalk? Even though it's only $5....something in us stirs....like you found gold. Anyway, I was continuing my quest to RIP all my CD's to my laptop...and I found one that wouldn't load correctly....well, well, well. Seems I had a DualDisc lurking in the pile that I didn't know was a Dualdisc.

It's nice to celebrate a birthday...but unfortunately the flip side of that is finding out someone passed away...on the poll thread..courtesy of zabble it was learned that Blood Sweat And Tears Trumpeter Lew Soloff died yesterday...this guy had an awesome music background...studying at Juilliard...I'm putting this here so we don't clutter up the poll thread..in case some would like to comment on Lew's career...here is zabble's post
