Some Quad equipment in the 1972 Version 1 catalog, didn't see any in the 1971 catalogs.

The Quad equipment in the '71 catalogs is called 4 channel, not Quad.

I vividly recall the 1972 RS catalog, the first one I picked up.

(IIRC, RS was one of the first companies to close out their Quad equipment in 4Q75)

THE Fisher 701 is the first (and, at this time, the only) four-channel receiver.

I didn't consider RS when I was assembling my Stereo system in 1972, I selected Advent, PE, Shure, Sony equip, maybe I should have.
