Weren't you going to have some type of speakers mounted in the walls?

Having been in the same house since, oh, I guess 1998, I'm not unpacking, but packing stuff up, music wise anyway. I've had my CD's boxed up for years, scattered hither and yon where I could find space.
My disc racks weren't made for all these box sets, they are sort of stacked up vertically on the shorter racks. What to do. I guess I could take down my old Yamaha guitar and stand them up in it's place on top two of the 72" racks, but then that just creates another problem.
Besides I like looking at the old gal up there with the blue led's shining under it. Remembrances of the days before arthritis claimed my fingers.

My media is all unpacked, and the CD-sized stuff all fits in drawers, as seen in my build blog. Well, everything except those mistakenly purchased Santana 7” releases that I’m going to have to repackage in order to keep them off the floor. 😡

If I’ve learned anything from my moves, it’s that “away” is not necessarily a solidly defined term. When I built my room, I thought I knew where everything would go, and even left a few feet for stuff I hadn’t considered - stuff I hadn’t unpacked after the previous move. Woefully inadequate.

I’ve been in this house for five years, and I still have boxes to unpack.

Look again! That's the Baltimore and Ohio 9PM Highball express from Baltimore to Chicago. Caseys got the steam pressure two marks above the red line on the gauge and the boiler door is starting to glow red!

Lots of luck! You're now the victim of the dreaded "out building inflation syndrome" where bigger is always better, but never quite enough.!

Dead bodies were littered about....................
What a day. What a pain in the ass. Moving my speakers from the old digs to the new digs. They are extremely heavy ,fragile and cumbersome. But
we did it !! No damage. This move thing is a mother effer. I still have amps to move. And then my audio collection.

Rickie, it is going to be great, I can see.
Trying to figure out.
Two speakers, two subs, 1 center at TV wall.
Two rears.
Four side speakers?

yup - the pic confuses as there are 2 speakers too many in the bunch. the oddball rosenut colored 803D'd will not be part of the system. There will be the two 802D for the fronts. The HTM1D for the center. 2 JL Audio subs up front. The surrounds will be 2 803D. The side surrounds will be 2 803N. The heights will be 4 units ccm 8.5D. The rear surrounds will be 2 CWM 8.3D ( in wall ) and the rear subs will be 2 JL Audio in wall units

Talk about complexity vs simplicity:

I am trying to make a system that is a combination of what I have and what is new.

So far, I see the need of:
- My current surround decoders and switcher
- EIGHT 5-input stereo switchers
- My 4-channel receiver with Dolby Pro Logic
- My original quadraphonic Nubian 345 speakers from 1974
- 5 more stereo amplifiers
- 10 more speakers (I have 4) and my subwoofer
- A speaker control panel I will build
- Something to decode Atmos
- All of my current audio sources
- A BR player with a stereo output
- 2 Surround Masters
- Two Phlazex surround modifiers
- HDMI to analog converters
- Analog to HDMI converters
- Lots of cables and speaker wires

The positions on seven of the 5-input selectors are basically to select these categories:
A: QS and other regular matrix systems (SM)
B: SQ and variants (SQ Front used for DQ) (SM)
C: BMX, H, and variations (derived from SM)
D: My old surround system
E: Discrete and Atmos

Shame you can't post an audio clip of your rig in the new digs because it looks awesome and I bet it will sound it as well.
Want me to send you a Block O to hang? ;-)
