Ambisonic UHJ Discography

The Ambisonic UHJ discography has been updated. For the first time Nimbus recordings have been listed in detail that indicate UHJ or Ambisonic. Over the years I have corresponded with the staff at Nimbus hoping to get confirmation on exactly which titles are UHJ as identification became spotty in the mid to late '90's. While the responses contained great information, the detail I was hoping for was not their but I did include those communications in the discography.
The titles currently listed all indicate UHJ or Ambisonic but I might have missed some and would appreciate any additional info if you spot somehing not included.

The Ambisonic UHJ discography has been updated. Although their are updates in other areas the main focus again was on Nimbus recordings. If you get time and spot something I might have missed, please let me know.

I was doing some discogs research and noticed this 1975 title, not in your database AFAIK Mark and pretty early on for Ambisonics; mislabeled as to format?

Too early to be Ambisonic. Discogs has way to many listed as Ambisonic that are not. I found several recordings from the 60's labeled as such. If it is not from a label that is known for doing UHJ I would be hesitent.

The focus this time around was on the Nimbus label to document catalog numbers and which discs indicate Ambisonic UHJ. If you happen to own any Nimbus classical recordings you might be able to help with Entries that list "Unknown if Ambisonic UHJ" as I could not find them in my collection or photos online indicating Ambisonic UHJ (usually on the disc).

There is still the mystery of John Timperley recordings that may be UHJ encoded as Richard Elen has said "He had my Ambisonic system throughout the time I was living in the US, and for a few years before, and later told me that "he did everything with it"


going through the Collins Classics list, finding which were mixed by John, and see if they decode.
