Great get! Aoife is a very talented artist - I first saw her with GOAT Rodeo Sessions (Yo Yo Ma, Chris Thiele, Stuart Duncan & Edgar Meyers) @Tanglewood several years ago and have a fan ever since - will definitely add these to my collection!

I am currently in my happy place - listening to 'All My Friends' in Atmos. For me, it was one of the best albums of 2024. I need a few more listens, but the mix is very well done!

So pleased to have these in download form! Aoife is one of my favorite singer-songwriters working today.

I thought it was pretty cool that she actually got to hear the Atmos mix in a proper listening space:

Looks like a re-recording stage for film mixing. I believe that's an Avid S6 console.

I saw her live pre-Covid with "I'm With Her" and it was fantastic!
Just saw her last September on tour with Hawktail as her backing band and opener, along with Väsen. I know she's from Boston, MA, and I didn't realize she had spent significant time here in Portland, OR. It was very cool to be in the same audience as personal friends of hers.

Unbeknownst to me, toward the end of the set, some megafans requested a special encore using printed-out signs: Richard Thompson's "1952 Vincent Black Lightning." When all the musicians retook the stage, they started by playing an instrumental polska, but segued abruptly into the song. I didn't immediately recognize it as the Richard Thompson tune I know and love, but I did figure it out pretty quickly. It's the one time I really wish I had been recording with my phone, which I generally abhor at live concerts, but that performance was just so magical. It had me misty eyed at points, and boy, what I wouldn't give to relive just a fraction of that experience.

At least I was able to thank her afterwards at her merch booth, where she elaborated a bit. Apparently, the song was once a regular feature in her sets, but had long been retired. So, in the scant time between leaving the stage after the final tune of the set and coming back for the encore, she briefly worked up the song with Hawktail and Väsen. If I hadn't been told, I would have assumed they'd been playing it all tour long; it was that tight of a performance. She also said it would not be played again, making what was already a special experience truly unique. It's a memory I will cherish forever.

I am very excited about this!
I have listened to All my friends on Tidal and enjoyed the Dolby Atmos mix.
But i always want to own my music and not renting it.
As i don´t beielve that there will be an Bluray with this to be sold this is fantastic that it works so fine.
I hope they release many things like this!

Age of Apathy has been mixed in spatial audio by Darren Schneider at a custom built mix studio at Full Sail University. I was lucky enough to listen to the Dolby Atmos mixes and they are incredible. You can listen to them on Apple Music!

Listened on Apple, one of the all-time hottest LFE signal amplitudes ever.

Not a negative thing, just surprising for this genre of music. 😯
