Now that Christmas is approaching, I wanted to mention that Barry Manilow's "A Christmas Gift of Love" album is available as a Single Layer, Surround Sound SACD.

Lengthwise it's a bit short. But the album has a very good Surround Sound mix.

So if you're looking for an upbeat set of Christmas music, I'd give it a listen. A fun addition to your Surround Sound SACD collection !

Found this at a reasonable price recently. I'm not necessarily a Manilow fan (but my wife is) and the surround mix is a pretty good one. I particularly liked the simplicity of 'Winter Wonderland' with clean guitar and bells in the surrounds. Most of the album is orchestral, but well done. Happy Holidays everyone on QQ!

Agreed. An enjoyable holiday album in 5.1 SACD Surround Sound. Interestingly, the same producer and engineer also worked on a Johnny Mathis Christmas Surround Sound SACD the same year. That one is also worth picking up if you find it.

funny you should say bmoura, I was gonna say this and the Johnny Mathis Sony Xmas album are both worth getting for the surround.. and then I got distracted and forgot to post (thankfully the forum content auto restore kicked in!)

Great minds think alike! :)

Of the two, I like the Johnny Mathis Christmas Surround Sound SACD a bit better. But both are on the playlist here for the holidays.
