Flying Start was The Blackbyrds' second studio LP and sole quad release, issued on CD-4 LP and quad 8-track by Fantasy Records in 1974. Produced by jazz trumpeter Donald Byrd, the album featured the US top-10 hit single "Walking In Rhythm".
