I guess this is my next thread in a series of "weird quad observations" after the drum placement thread.
For whatever reason, there are some great Columbia quad titles out there forever trapped in SQ with no discrete tape released alongside them.
I'm noticing that a lot of these are on subsidiary labels (Family Productions, PIR, etc)- perhaps that has something to do with it?
Here's my list so far:
Loggins & Messina- Native Sons
Billy Joel- Turnstiles
Bob Dylan- Desire
Johnnie Taylor- Eargasm (Thanks DV for getting us the discrete master!)
Janis Ian- Between The Lines
Janis Ian- Aftertones
O’Jays- Survival
O’Jays- Family Reunion
Isley Brothers- Harvest For The World
Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes- Wake Up Everybody
MFSB- Philadelphia Freedom
Santana- Amigos
