As a new Twin Peaks fan I can wholeheartedly recommend it, and I think it’s the perfect thing to watch during the winter. Of course everybody’s different but it took me a few tries for it to click, I tried watching the first few episodes on multiple occasions but then it finally clicked and I was hooked! The Blu-ray transfers are fantastic as well, they’re from the original camera negatives and there’s a remixed 7.1 soundtrack overseen by David Lynch as well as the original (albeit lossy) Dolby Surround track!
On today's date February 24th, but in 1989, the fictional Laura Palmer was killed. This thread has certainly inspired me to watch the series for the first time. I was hooked as soon as I heard the first few seconds of the opening theme. I remember this being in heavy rotation on FM radio at the time. I always liked it. I always thought it was just the Twin Peaks opening music but I've learned a bit more about it.

The music was written by Angelo Badalamenti and there was a vocal version with lyrics by David Lynch. It was performed by Julee Cruise and the title is Falling:

I've watched the first season twice and I think six eps into the second season. It really is very hypnotic & captivating. For a story this complex, for me anyway, the choice is to almost takes notes or watch along with wiki. Or just to let it all wash over me & don't think too deep. Right now it's the latter .

I'm sure at some point soon temptation will get the best of me & I'll have to work in Mulholland Drive for a viewing which I have seen a coupe of times before.

After an initial delay, this 21 disc set [a few episodes in Native UHD4K] will finally be shipped within a few weeks. Cannot Wait. IMO, a bargain at the price!

Selling for only 70 bucks? They’re giving it away! This one’s an easy no brainer!

Edit: Ralphie continues to drain my bank account but I have no complaints!
But then Ralphie who's the ultimate bargain hunter [NEVER PAY RETAIL] managed to procure it for $50 delivered!

But then again, Mr. E, you can't take it with you ... especially if you're CREMATED!

Ralphie, that's between me, my wife and the undertaker that she selects for me!

To quote the great Denzel Washington, "you'll never see a hearse pulling a U Haul"!
