Please post your thoughts and comments on this new reissue of the classic album "Toulouse Street" by the Doobie Brothers.
The album's original 1970s Quadraphonic mix was originally released on Blu-Ray Audio in 2020 as part of the Doobie Brothers Quadio box set.
Now the disc is available to purchase separately as part of Rhino's ongoing Quadio series

I voted 10.
This is an almost identical disc compared to the 2020 Quadio.
I conclude the only reason to own this is for the Quadio Series Stamp in plastic jewel case.
However, I did rip and compare. I did listen to 4 tracks, 2022 and 2024 for audible comparison.
My conclusion is they are exactly the same.
For many of you of course, the answer is DUH, we knew that. But for a few, there is a snowballs chance in Hell that it might be different. I, rather than read back and forth discussions wanted to find out for myself.
They are identical, DR's are exact, bitrates slightly different. The 4 tracks I certainlly could not hear a difference.
I had a feeling that they would be the same, because of others on QQ input.
It has come down to, I own this for the plastic case and my Quadio collection, nothing more, nothing less.

Please keep poll threads pure to your listening experience only.

I gave it a 10 even though I own the blu-ray from the Quadio set only. My favorite of the four Doobies quads. I would have liked to hear what Elliot Scheiner could have done with a 5.1 of this album given his spectacular job on The Captain And Me.
