My passion is there.
My time and energy aren’t.

My budget? I’m on government aid as I go through school. Budget is almost non-existent. Apple Music and the occasional physical title I just CAN’T pass on (cheap and exciting enough). Like Moon Safari by Air. I’ve listened to it a bunch and will a bunch more.

I am holding on to some titles that are exceedingly special to me.

Given to me by friends, some of whom have passed away, favorite albums with great mixes, absolute gems I know I’ll want to spin again, if opportunity presents.

The rest, even the ones typically hoarded, are coming up for grabs.

Blu-ray sale coming soon!

Having left the surround music hobby for a bit and come back, getting the numerous out of print titles that I sold ended up being at the very least inconvenient, at worse expensive. I'd recommend not getting rid of anything along the lines of what Mike's saying here (the special/unique releases). Sell what isn't played much or impulse purchased.

[this off topic would be a worthy separate thread... maybe it could be split off?]

I'm getting closer to retirement and I'm thinking the same as you. Selling off my collection. My passion to sitting down in a cinema to listen to a surround album has changed over the past 5 or so years.
It is just not the same as before. I don't know how to explain why.
Mine has too. Just waiting for recreational pot to be legal here. 🥴
