Four years ago I asked David Ossman whether Bozos and EYKIW were best heard in stereo or quad. He said, "The quad! Phil Austin spent weeks working on the mixes." I bought the SQ LPs when they were released, but the Q8s are almost impossible to find. The only one I've seen was a Q8 of Bozos in the Library of Congress! Don't hold your breath waiting for these two on Japanese Sony BluRays!
You can buy the EYKIW 2-DVD set from the Firesign Theatre web shop. The soundtrack to the video version (hilarious video) is the 5.1 mix of the album. It is missing two short bits IIRC that they didn’t have the money to animate.

Is there any chance of the quad mixes being released on disc?
I’ve been listening carefully to the DVD release with the Dolby 5.1 soundtrack. I don’t think this was a remix, but rather the 4 corners plus a rendered center channel, which seems to be just a quiet sum of L+R (always lower on my VU meters than either L or R). Otherwise the quad effect (if I turn off C) is strong, and in fact turning C on and off does not make a noticeable difference. It’s easy to just mute C, or alternatively use MMH to produce a 4-channel version - for my setup that’s a better option since the rears on Dolby 5.1 on my AVR are Lss/Rss rather than Lr/Rr.

There are two bits unfortunately missing because FT didn’t have the funds to complete the filming: Follow the Snake, and the Holes monologue. To compensate, there’s a huge amount of new (to me) material.
