Has anyone heard of this; Pink Floyd: Collector's Edition by Masterworks. It has a dvd copy of Animals in 5.1...is it worth a blind buy?
Never heard of it before, but I took the risk and ordered one last week from Tokyo, Expected to be here in around 30 days if you can wait to find out. I'll for sure post the results.Has anyone heard of this; Pink Floyd: Collector's Edition by Masterworks. It has a dvd copy of Animals in 5.1...is it worth a blind buy?

Yes and no really, I mean Pyromania and Hysteria are stellar albums but I fear they only have the big stereo potential. I would love to be proved wrong however!I don't recall if I had them on my previous list(s), but I think Def Leppard would kick ASS in surround. Especially Hysteria. That has always been their top work for me. But honestly everything from High'n'Dry through their newest (Def Leppard) would work really well and be a lot of fun in surround. I'm thinking Atmos.

Precisely!Hysteria would be a prime candidate if only because Mutt Lange made them play chords one string/track at a time so the separation would be insane!
The Partridge Family?Partridge Family - first 3 albums
UFO - any albums with M. Schenker
Scorpions - any RCA period albums
Judas Priest - British Steel or Hell Bent for Leather
I'd buy 'em! In a (I can feel your) heartbeat! The Partridge Family?
