I f you go back far enough in this thread, you'll see an old answer from me: Elliot Scheiner's unreleased "Pretzel Logic" 5.1 mix and Greg Penney's unreleased "Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player" 5.1 mix. Downloads would be best and I'd far prefer an optical disc (which I could rip) to streaming, but I'll take anything.

Here's my wishlist:

a-ha: Hunting High And Low, Scoundrel Days and Stay On These Roads.
Jeff Wayne's The War Of The Worlds would sound great on blu-ray. As of now, the 5.1 is only available on SACD.
a-ha *may* happen. When doing an interview shortly after the streaming Steven Wilson remix of Take On Me came out, he did a whole "I can't say I mixed all of Hunting High and Low in Atmos, but maybe I did" thing

And a new Atmos version of The War Of The Worlds is out on streaming as well

It was? In thought the quad mixes reel of FC was located a long while back in the garage of the engineer who mixed it when his estate cleared out the clutter and now someone owns it privately. And the yes it may have been used as a fold for alt mixes? All dispelled? Or simply denied for the sake of cooling off the controversy? Interesting that you got the real story, I think maybe.
Do you have a source or more info on this? Forever Changes would be fantastic.

I would love to see Marvin Gaye’s “What's Going On” get a release. Japan CD-4 only release. Supposedly, according to a post from someone who might know, the original tape could not be located. But, it’s a Motown release. One would hope and imagine they would be very good about saving their tapes.

I agree with all of the suggestions but ... when are they going to realize that streaming is not how these artists and companies got here. Shopping for pennies and not dollars. Dumb.

The a-ha thing sounds great. :)

Now I'm not a fan of streaming only. I want a physical product that I can hold in my hand and listen to when I want to.
Something that's on streaming can be taken off for a number of reasons, and I don't like that.
I know, I'm old fashioned. :)

Andy Jackson did a secret 5.1 mix that is available on the Reverberation Blu-ray if you do a little detective work into the disc files.

It can’t be viewed or played from the disc menu itself, however.
I have the box, but cannot extract the surround mix. I have no idea how to do that.
I want the mix available via a simple meny.
Maybe it will happen when David and Roger stop acting like grumpy men...

You mean it is on the disc in the big "Early Years" box set, and only the first run of the set? Or did it stay available in all copies of the big expensive box?

(It is noted that BR5 has a copy of the the whole 'Meddle' Album in 5.1 and a new stereo mix.
This is not accessable through the menu as an Easter egg, but can be accessed using Blu ray editing software.
As this is not officially available, I have not noted the contents on the disc.)

Included, or not in below issued set?

Sorry, I knew it was available from the box, I figured the individual blu-rays were just straight represses of those discs. I stand corrected. Thanks for clearing it up!

Shockingly, a prog fan like me has been treated to multichannel versions of a LOT of key albums from bands like Yes, Genesis (regardless of the quality there...), Jethro Tull, Gentle Giant, etc., so I'm actually pretty well satisfied on that front.

That said, an impossible release campaign that I'd really go giddy over would be careful multichannel remixes of the PFM (Premiata Forneria Marconi)'s 1970s albums. If I had to limit it to only one, it would be Per un amico. Just hearing that gorgeous opening of the album envelope the listener would be even more sublime.

The more that folks speak of "ripping" when they talk of their desire to own a given physical disc, the less the powers that be wish to supply that disc for owning (ripping). Yeah, they don't like that motive at all. I'm serious. Even if it is legal and innocent, used privately.

What about the debut of the band "Masters of Reality"!?! Check it out if you just love rock.
Great debut album (sunrise on the sufferbus also excellent, featuring Ginger Baker on drums!). It's been discussed not long ago here or on another forum I frequent. Goss has worked with Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age. He has a great voice and slick blues rock style. They were QotSA before that style rock sold a lot of records. Pioneer stoner rock band.
