Looks like Black Friday is winding down. I'm drained. I will respond to additional purchases, but might be a bit slower to respond as work calls tomorrow.
Also, I ran out of small boxes, and had to put an order in to Amazon. They won't arrive till this Thursday.

Sorry for any delays....in the meantime, I still have miscellaneous box sizes and will ship what I can. Several of you already have tracking numbers....
No worries!

"Jeffrey Michael .... HERE I COME!"
The @Sonik Wiz of the snail world!

I did a Ralphie for Cyber Monday, purchasing Dune, the Dark Knight Trilogy, Mad Max: Fury Road and Mulholland Drive, all in glorious 4K! This coincided with me also finally upgrading to a 4K TV! (No, I didn’t spend $5K on an 8K!)

I just ordered the Columbia Classics Collection Volume IV [with STARMAN] for $90 + had $81 in my chase Cc reward points applied and ended up paying $16! List price was a whopping $215!!!!!!!!

Glad you finally ascended to 4K, Mr. E. You won't regret it. Even upsamples 1080p BD~Vs as well! 8K is still a nascent format, even in Japan and doubtful the major studios will start releasing 8K BDs ...As it is, they're still way behind on releasing back catalogue titles in 4K!

I was somewhat surprised to learn that some 4K movies were shot in 2K. I am interested in seeing how 4K upscaling does with 1080p blu rays.
If 'upsampled' 4K movies also feature HDR10 and Dolby Vision there is usually a nice uptick in quality! I always read the reviews from blu~ray.com, the digital bits and even highdefdigest before making a purchase.

Great deal Ralphie!

In all candor Mr. Ralph, my 20 plus year old Sony Bravia TV that I purchased back when for $2500 continues to refuse to die. Watching football on Thanksgiving Day on my brother in law’s 4K TV finally pushed me into taking the Black Friday plunge!

Thanks for the tip! I don’t know why Samsung steadfastly refuses to add Dolby Vision to their specs but it’s their loss.

My 2016 LG 3D OLED TV is still going strong and it has had quite a workout especially during the pandemic. Hope you got an OLED TV ...they really are state of the art bar none! And they do feature DOLBY VISION as well.

edit: have to dash off my pymt to GOS for 3 discs .....

But of course Mr. Ralph! You don’t think that I’d be remiss in not doing my homework, LOL! 😝

(And my new TV is also an LG; life is good!)

Quick word of advice ... ensure you plug your player, receiver and OLED TV into a 'suitable' power conditioner to protect against surges! Power surges are deadly most especially for flatscreen TVs!

As Ralphie said, even 2K upscaled discs can look phenomenal. HDR really adds to the presentation.

Some of the best 4K discs with 2K DI’s I can think of would be the first Aquaman, (those IMAX scenes really pop!), Spider-Man Into The Spiderverse, District 9, The Equalizer and Max Max Fury Road (which you purchased!)

So even though not all 4K discs are Native 4K, there’s no reason that it should be a bad disc or not a huge upgrade from the standard Blu-ray.

Congrats on the jump and welcome to the 4K world!
