New guy here. Got here in the process of dipping back into the hi res waters recently after initially being getting involved in the early days of SACD and DVD-A and then basically giving up on it for vinyl . But a few weeks ago also started my home theater journey and when I discovered that my Sony blu ray player could play SACD and my receiver could decode it was a no brainer to dig out the discs I hadn’t sold off and start over. Have added several titles just in the last couple weeks and specifically found this place after discovering Rhino’s great Quadio line. The reviews and info I’ve found here have been mighty helpful. Look forward to learning and contributing.

Welcome to madness and a bare wallet; enjoy the ride.

I’m sure we’re looking forward to your laments about wallet stress and ecstacy about aural bliss. That’s what we do here.

Ha! No laments here ever. I learned a long time ago to not over extend myself. What's around today will most likely be around next week, month, year. And if not, there's always something to replace it with(see avatar).

But it has been fun introducing myself to multi channel. When I first started listening to hi res years ago, it was only ever played on a 2 channel system. Listening to albums that I'm extremely familiar with for the first time in multi really brings a new element of enjoyment that frankly I wasn't expecting.

I guess that's my first aural bliss post.
