History of SQ Quad Circuits / Hardware

I've been recently (re)studying SQ decoders; particularly the Full - Logic decoders. I realize 'full logic' is a sometimes abused term.

I've recently discovered the Sony ICs, which I was unaware of; little has been published.

I've (for my own reference, but others here may be interested) tabulated:

I’ve consulted my collection of Sony Service manuals and can confirm the following -

SQA-200 (service Manual Dated 1973)
Functionality: FB logic
Circuit implementation:
42 discrete transistors

SQA-2030 (Service Manual Dated 1973)
Functionality: FB & WM logic
Circuit implementation:
27 discrete transistors
CX-050 (Basic SQ decoder)
CX-049 (Logic)
CX-718 (Gain Control)
STK – 056A (Power Amp)

SQD-2050 (Service Manual Dated 1973)
Functionality: FB logic
Circuit implementation:
22 discrete transistors

SQD-2000 (Service Manual Dated 1972)
Functionality: FB & WM logic
Circuit implementation:
101 discrete transistors
CX-046 (note that this IC just seems to be a quad Op Amp and a pair of them are used in implementing basic SQ decoding only, the logic functions in this unit are performed by discrete transistors).

SQD-2010 (Service Manual Dated 1974)
Functionality: FB & WM logic
Circuit implementation:
43 discrete transistors
CX-050 (Basic SQ decoder)
CX-049 (Logic)
CX-718 (Gain Control)

SQD-2020 (Service Manual Dated 1973)
Functionality: FB & WM logic
Circuit implementation: 69 discrete transistors

SQD-2070
Functionality: FB & WM logic
Circuit implementation (I’ve not got the service manual for this one so took the cover off mine and a peek inside reveals):
8 discrete transistors
CX-050 (Basic SQ decoder)
CX-049 (Logic)
CX-718 (Gain Control)
This must mean that it was the simplest full logic decoder that Sony made (it’s certainly in the smallest case).

I've verified that the 2070 I have contains the same complement of ICs that you show.
