I gotta give it a big “meh”. Audio quality is excellent, mix is OK, but the content is not for me. I’m not generally a fan of remakes, especially when they’re so iconic, and when Tori screaming at me was the first thing out of the speakers I got a bad feeling… Not my cup o’ Joe.

First, thirty lashes for me for not knowing who Trevor Horn is. I had no idea until after I bought this. I've heard so much of his stuff, but never knew. I am TRULY sorry for that. The Buggles. Grace Jones. Art of Noise. t.A.T.u. Seal. Wow.

I listened to a few tunes on YouTube before this purchased and, honestly, I mainly got it to bundle with two other purchases from SDE to save on postage to the US. I am SO glad I did! I've already listened to it three times!

The first tune that kinda blew me away was Steppin' Out. Seal does such an amazing job. I'm sure Joe Jackson is proud. And, Rick Astley is superb on Owner of a Lonely Heart. I could go on and on about all these remakes, but I actually love them. Maybe because, unlike "new" songs, I can almost sing along and know all the words. The tunes have become more "adult" in these versions...and I'm not saying the originals were bad. By no means! But, now that I'm officially an old man, (65 last year,) these songs really speak to me. I remember bopping on the dance floor to Slave to the Rhythm. Lol.

I gave this a 10, not only because I love the music, but the surround was pretty stellar. One of new favorite albums.
