Mine is still on it's way, trying to beat the arrival of Xmas. Lucky it didn't arrive yesterday though, it was nearly 40C. It would have melted to nothing in my letterbox.
I remember my Aunt & Uncle phoning us on Christmas Day and saying it was so hot they were down to their underwear and had even had to remove their wedding rings! They lived on Philip Island.

Mine finally arrived this afternoon. Will put a fake fireplace scene on my screen and listen to it tomorrow!

There was indeed a Christmas card inside, one you could send someone with room for a full note. Forgive me if I don't mail it out.

Phillip Island is on the coast (but not that far from me in the city). If they were hot, they were still in one of the cooler spots, being right on the sea.

I remember, before my family migrated from the UK, rellies already living here said everybody has their Xmas dinner on the beach. We migrated in Nov and so we duly did that after only arriving a month and a bit. We were the only ones! The wise aussies were all indoors, in air-conditioned comfort eating their roasts and xmas puds. Mum sat us down and we ate turkey sandwiches with grains of sand blowing everywhere all over our food and in our sandwiches. We never did it again.

30C expected this Xmas day (as reported by tonight's news), so cooler than the 39-something C of the other day I'm glad to report. :)

(Phillip Island is pretty nice BTW.)

My copy arrived yesterday. So how about that? I really thought it wouldn't show until after chrissymus was nothin' but a memory, given I live at the very bottom of the world.

There is no poll thread for this album that I can find. So I'll say it here. All around -- packaging, disc authoring, bonus content, and the all-important music and Atmos mix itself -- this is a wonderful album. Fabulous Tull songs, the band doing Xmas like they have done since '68. I am hearing so many new things and so much depth of quality in the playing and recording. The remix by Bruce Soord probably outdoes Wilson -- it is simply glorious -- and has me hoping he will be the one, not Wilson, to remix any further Tull albums.

Ten, with Christmas bells on.

Well , I suppose I can NOW finally order this from the shed ...well in Canada we've had a Postal Strike , which ended Tuesday , now both sides are in arbitration .
Hopefully all works out for those frosty cool Office Workers so they can enjoy the Season. And us too.🎅I do have a couple of items stuck in the mail, as I'm sure others here do as well.

And, has been shipped! Can't wait to hear this one...never heard before
I really like the original album.

Well it will come, but Amazon delayed, won't be listening at Christmas, maybe it can transfer as a cool Super Bowl release?
What do you think @JohnN
Not interested in doing a free trial of one of the streaming services so you can play it during the xmas season? Not as good but at least you'll have something. The bonus stuff is good but can wait until next year.

The Tull Christmas Album is not really enjoyed here at Christmas. Wife prefers it at other times. Super Bowl listening would be cool. :D

Living in the past:
Jethro Tull Christmas

After 30 years of occasional holiday singles, The Jethro Tull
Christmas Album was a collection waiting to happen. With flute in tow,
Ian Anderson leads his merry men through traditional and Tullish
holiday tunes both old and new - all freshly recorded in that
relatively acoustic Songs from the Wood style - and the results are
splendid.
"A Christmas Song" seems a little less cynical than it did in 1972,
and along with some other gently ironic new compositions, it manages
to blend right in with the more pervasive good cheer and warm
fuzziness of the rest of the package. For all of Anderson's
tut-tutting, he's an old softie when it comes to season's greetings.
Swinging jazz versions of staples like "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"
are included for an hour that the whole family can enjoy. So put
another Yule log on the fire!
Offering some of the most appealing melodies he has ever written.
Anderson's new solo album Rupi's Dance, could've been the best Tull
album in years if Martin Barre's electric guitar were on hand. The
more delicate approach notwithstanding, Anderson's flute still works
overtime, and there's plenty of food for thought in the clever
wordplay.
Barre's solo album, Stage Left, is an acoustic/electric grab bag of
folk to fusion, showing his often-underrated chops to be as nimble as
ever. Nestled in a Tull tune, any of these short workouts might've
been a brilliant yin to Anderson's lyrical yang. But isolated here,
these undeniably impressive exercises sometimes seem vaguely clinical.
Andrew Nash Sound&Vision December 2003.

I had the CD in 2003, but it is MUCH BETTER here in Dolby Atmos. I wondered why this, of all
Tull albums, got a Dolby Atmos version, but given their folky-freak background and cozy Christmas
tunes in the pub atmosphere, this hits the right spot!
