Me again....didn't have this one in my library....very good mix
The last song on that album, "Wish You Were Here", is my favorite Mac deep cut. A really beautiful tune from Christine. And yes, the mix is quite nice.
This album is not fully released yet but there are some interesting tracks already in Atmos with a good mix.

Seems like pretty much the entire 30 Greatest Hits album is now in Atmos. And IIRC, @MrSmithers was keeping track somewhere of which of the Aretha tracks--most of them, I think?--actually had good Atmos mixes (in contrast to so much of the legacy WEA material we've been decrying here).
And ...I thought I had heard of the writer, Danny Elfman, before.

And finally...one of my all time favourite albums...which I played to death on its release. Now added to my library.

30th Anniversary, as it was released October 6, 1992.
After ten years of touring, SA went platinum after signing with Columbia.
Atmos mix grabs attention from the first track, as the opening eight-bar solo guitar intro blasts from all surround & height channels with silent fronts.
As the rest of the band enters, the heights fade to silence through the verse, only to blaze back with hot guitar during the chorus.
Enjoying the enhancement to songs I only ever heard on car stereos.
Oh, this is a ton of fun. Interesting stuff flying around--appropriately--in the overheads. As much as I loved hearing those "enhanced 5.1" mixes of Talking Heads recently, this is the kind of thing I wish Jerry Harrison had done with the Atmos mixes of those albums.
So are you saying Danny Elfman did the Atmos mix on this one? (Thinking of the film scores he could do also...)

Afraid not pups, he wrote the original song.Which I didn't know until the credits came up....and I thought I know that name.
Dan Frizsell credited as Immersive Mix Engineer on Dead Man's Party track. Assuming he did Weird Science too. Nice work!
