The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Los Angeles Forum - April 26, 1969 (Live)

Intro was pretty immersive! Only so much you can do with a live recording from 1969 though I guess? Looking forward to the rest of the album when it’s fully released
Second track Purple Haze now streaming, full album release one week out.
The pleading between songs for the audience to move back & sit down is very much of its time. ☮️

Anyone else notice this?? No songs available yet but it should be good… On Apple
How did you come across this? No matter how I search this album does not appear in Apple Music (even in stereo). In fact, neither does Walking Into Clarksdale (the other album by Page and Plant). If this is indeed a preview of an upcoming Atmos release, I am very curious to know who mixed it. There is a DVD video that went along with this that was mixed in 5.1, but the mix wasn't great so hopefully this would be an improvement. Some great alternative versions of Zep classics on this.

Robert Glasper Experiment - Black Radio
I was looking forward to this and the mix seems to be good, however it's plagued by a droning sound throughout the whole album on Apple. Is it the same on Tidal?

this one is also up-mix - AI source separation used to fill few channels UMG style. album was probably done using some kind of program not by a human and timecode is misplaced in center channel.. UPmix department doesn't have QC team :)

Based on your opinion we’d not see any future Surround releases from any past album, because “if it were possible it would have already happened”. :)

Stay positive. Anything is possible when it comes to surround releases!
That’s a pretty broad and disingenuous interpretation of what I said. And I think it’s sad that you would choose to apply that interpretation.

While I would love nothing more than an Atmos mix of Physical Graffiti, the rumors about the improper storage conditions of the Led Zeppelin tapes have been around for a long time.

On the other hand, there were no such rumors about the Joni Mitchell catalog, which has just now yielded some sweet, multichannel fruit.

The amount of money to be made from any multi channel Led Zeppelin release is very significant. It is my firm belief that if there was any way for it to have happened, that it would have happened by now.

I look forward to the bemoaning of any forthcoming WEA “fake Atmos” Led Zeppelin releases.

Not an adventurous mix, but a full one, on this EP. (All the tracks got included twice, though. That's been happening a lot lately.)
I am not seeing the track-doubling, on this release or others, not on my computer, phone or ATV.

Thanks for the alert to this EP, which I really enjoyed on the first run-through, maybe more musically than the mix, but that's not terrible either. Saw them live a few years back; very entertaining and moving, highly recommended.

Huh. I wonder what's behind the glitch on my system? Thanks for the report, anyway.

Oh, cool! They were new to me; glad to know about them and hope to hear more.

In my opinion the mixer absolutely nailed this cinematic classic.

A great balance between conveying the instrumental elements and the vocal presence.

Never appreciated fully the vocal prowess of Ms Dion till I heard this.
Both intimate, breathy and conveying a pan-pipe type character.

As saccharine sweet and somewhat cliched this can be sometimes considered, you have to be fairly concrete hearted not too feel moved by the souring vocals in the last minute or so.

The other tracks on the album that are currently playing seem very well handled. In particular this one with it”s flamenco guitar elements and world renowned vocals:

So it was listed as one of those “since you listened to…” albums. When I clicked on it i noticed that all the tracks were greyed out. When I tried to search for the album i couldn’t find it either in any form. I believe I added it to my library though. I will have to check. There is a remix single by Duran Duran that has 4-6 remixes all in Atmos but completely greyed out.

Not yet available in the US.
Playing it now in Minneapolis.
