Can I ask a favor? Could someone on Tidal find out who did the Atmos mix of the fabulous debut album by Saya Gray, 19 Masters. It’s my favorite Atmos new album of 2022. I can’t get enough of it; I’ve asked (via bandcamp contact link) to someday get an uncompressed version. No feedback. Maybe I can find info via the mixer. Great stuff!!

One of this year’s Record Store Day releases is FOREVERVOICELESS by Brian Eno, an instrumental only version of FOREVERANDEVERNOMORE. I assumed it would be stereo only, but it turns out I was wrong.

The first single is out ahead of its April 22nd release, and is in Atmos. At the moment it seems to be just nested in a “deluxe” version of the album:

Yesterday’s listening sesh involved Illuminate; and Berlin Moskau: The Ultimate Experience (both from Schiller).

Found the former a bit ho-hum, and considered the latter great background music.

Interested to know whetany other albums on Pureaudiorecordings.com are worth investing in? (I wanna hear an available great Auro-3d recording.)

I keep coming back to this one. A very good album with a very good Atmos mix. Good use of all the speakers in my 7.4.4 setup, except a little weak output in the surround backs.

Didn't know anything 'bout Lil Yachty and discovered he's actually a Rapper that I guess is expanding out into Rock. In that solo on the first track I'm hearing a little David Gilmour style in it.

Daughter is a newer generation 4AD artist who I've really enjoyed and they're releasing a new album next month. There's three tracks in Atmos on Tidal so far. No sampling. Just a lot of interesting interpolation. Some interesting names involved in that record: Patrick Wimberly (Chairlift), Jake Portrait (Unknown Mortal Orchestra) and Mac Demarco.
