Doechii! Best New Artist Grammy Nominee. Amazing performance on last night's Colbert:

I was left speechless by that performance. We were watching Colbert when I saw your post. My wife left the room, so I watched it on my phone and then said, "Dear, we need to see this performance". It isn't really within my musical tastes, but is sure was fun to watch. Thanks for posting.

That was enough to prompt me to watch the video. Really striking performance from someone that would normally never be on my radar.

And now there's a Tiny Desk Concert! (Guess she's got a good publicist. Plus, she's just effing a-may-zing--and is she ever having a moment!)

Enjoying Rush's self titled debut in Dolby Atmos on Apple Music. One of my favorites by them. I really like the mix.
Just saw that they released this, 2112 and A Farewell To Kings in Atmos on Apple Music. No news, not notice, no credits. Rush's website is silent on it.

Are they Richard Chycki mixes? Was there any kind of press release about these releases?

In @fredblue's absence this week (maybe he's just saving up for Sunday morning?), I'm gonna sneak in and do a linkdump of my own. Every year around this time, I compile a master file of a whole bunch of Top 10 lists (or 20, or 100, or whatever), specifically:

Independent Music Writers:
“Old” Media:
“New” Media/Music Websites:
I'm still waiting on a couple of my usual sources--Nate Chinen, the Francis Davis jazz critics' poll, more from Popmatters--but so far my list is running to around 275 titles. Below is a table covering all albums on that list with known Atmos mixes (with album titles linked to Apple Music US). The first installment covers A-F (individual artists are alphabetized by first name, not last name); I'll add G-M, N-S, and T-Z in the coming days.

An Atmos version of Tull's Christmas Album is up on Tidal. I'm surprised, as I'd thought it was only 5.1 on the Blu-ray disc?

Anyway, I'm playing it right now and it's a beautiful Atmos mix. Just search Jethro Tull and it pops right up.
It's in Atmos on the disc - mind you it's stuck on the to-listen-to mountain

I really don't know. I stumbled across them one evening. I am hoping Rhino issues them as stand alone Blu Rays or Paul at SDE. I'm sure they would sell quite well.

Yes, Richard Chycki mixes. A major improvement for him from what I hear. No press that I have seen.

Check out the many comments about them in recent pages of this thread (Search - "Rush" - this thread) if you're curious about it. Lots of opinions, mostly positive, some not so much. Also your questions had already been answered there.

Like most, I'm baffled about the lack of any sort of press release/announcement anywhere. They just appeared there on November 22th, and I'd have never noticed without this thread.

I think Rush was briefly a “featured artist” on Apple Music, but otherwise these were released without fanfare.
