Went back to ELP...
The 2000 MCH mix is excellent and quite gimmicky-
but, what a great release, Thanks Mr. Lake...(The "SACD" released later is another matter)...
kudos to whoever did the authoring...

Now I'm on Tape 1 of "Welcome back my ..." Q8 ...
(correction; this isthe one that's got the serious "wow" tape while mastering issue and nobody corrected the mistake..."very sloppy, Roscoe...you're a slovenly Quality Control Person... , Dude, lay off the pipe"...what a pity...)

Hopefully Greg Lake will come thru for us this time and do a similar stellar job on the catalog he has mentioned recently)...keep your fingers crossed

I was aware of the Brazil 66 Q8, never knew there was an SQ album out there. Any others? I love "Look Around"....they were some of the most pleasing 60's pop around. Too bad there was no Baja Marimba Band in quad!
Also listening to Carly's 'No Secrets', maybe looking at that cover too.
Additionally, America and others, I've been in an acoustic mood. John

John, there was also a eponymous CD-4 of Sergio Mendes on Elektra. In Japan, there were a couple EP singles in SQ in addition to the SQ LP. No great Quad mix, since it's live. Yet, Carnival is Sergio's greatest Quad and one of his best albums.
