Took me a long time to appreciate Boz Scaggs, but I'm trying to atone for my past sins of omission (with help from holy men like Pastor @J. PUPSTER, who has been quietly but persistently preaching the gospel of William Royce Scaggs for years). When I first heard Dig, I thought it wasn't necessarily a brilliant album, but most definitely a brilliant Scheiner mix. After spinning it once every six months or so for the past couple of years, it's grown on me, and I'm now persuaded it's 80% brilliant (!) and right up there among Scheiner's very best. Deep grooves, soulful vocals, clean production, and (bonus!) horn arrangements by the late, great Roy Hargrove. And need I say it? Tasty guitar playing. Standout tracks: "Payday," "Sarah," "Call That Love." From now on this one stays in regular rotation.

Let me guess, the 20% non-brilliant would be...

Get On The Natch  - heck I even dig that one!

Ya know this album has a lot of Toto influence in it.

It sure is a standout album, especially in surround

:bowing: Elliot Scheiner

After going down a recent (glorious) rabbit hole of quad conversions, it's nice to pull up an ultra crisp and clean recording to cleanse the palette on a Friday afternoon... the beauty of the performances on this one is just off the charts, and the recording/mixing itself is just... *chef's kiss*

Boz Scaggs - Greatest Hits Live should also be a required acquisition for one's catalog...
