I certainly came LATE to this party but today AmazonUS delivered this exceptional box set in ultra PRISTINE condition and thanks to SNOOD and some Chase reward points it was delivered for $86 [list $299]:

As Baggy says in his spectacular review of Rush's MOVING PICTURES .... a bona fide ATMOS, 5.1 remix/remaster

I was never a BIG Rush fan but now I am. The BD~A even in DTS~HD MA 5.1 sounds EXQUISITE and the accompanying HD videos are a classy touch.

Jon Anderson's Olias of Sunhillow. Esoteric Recordings. 24-bit digital re-mastering and 5.1 Surround Sound up-mix from the original stereo master tapes by Ben Wiseman at Broadlake Studios, Herts. I had no idea that Jon played all the instruments (30) on this recording. This is my first DVD-A purchase. Would love to hear a proper blu-ray 5.1/Atmos mix. Still, happy for this experience. Price is right @ Amazon.

Son Contrabando - Son Contrabando mixed by @jimfisheye

(this has a wrong tag, it is not a dvd-a, it was download only if I remember correctly).View attachment 94796

Hey Duncan, correct. It was download only. I also have it. Man, I don't remember it being jimfisheye!!!! That is nuts....

EDIT, opps! Robert, not Duncan. WTF?? lol

This was my first Steven Wilson album. Hadn’t heard Porcupine Tree at that point either. I kept reading about him (and PT) in Prog magazine and for whatever reason took a chance with this one after figuring I should check him out. I think I had been reading great reviews when this came out, so that was probably part of it.

Anyway, this knocked me out. I now own all the Wilson solo albums and some of the PT, but this one remains my favorite. Hoping one day he gives us an Atmos mix.

It's a favorite of mine now but at the time I was a little down on Wilson. I still rarely listen to Insurgentes and Grace for Drowning. I bought this when it came out and it got a couple listens. I enjoyed the stories but the album didn't strike me. It came into prominence for me after Hand. Cannot. Erase. which, took over my listening life for about a month after its release. Needing more, I dove into Steve's back catalog and discovered how good this album is.
