Thanks for the tip guys.

Order Confirmation
Slyva and How We Roll $45.92 for both.
Arriving:
Thursday, December 26 -
Friday, December 27
My two Atmos copies arrived yesterday. I popped them in the player and listened/watched.
Umm, not that good musically and the height speakers are hit and miss. For me, I can of course see how others would like a lot, my point is not to disagree with anyone's personal favorites.
Yes, great sonics, fidelity wise.
I preferred How We Roll over Sylva.
I have to look deeper but the onscreen graphics for How We Roll a dead ringer for Rush's , one of the last ones, Moving Pictures maybe? The graphic artist might be the same, interesting?

My favorite Atmos of 2024 was Robin Trower's Bridge Of Sighs.
My surprise favorite in 5.1 Jack Bruce-Songs For A Tailor.
My favorite 4.0 was Borboletta.

Liking the music always has to be #1, I can of course appreciate great surround, but must be liked musically.

That said, even though I purchased a ton of surround overall in 2024 it wasn't my greatest year of likes for surround.
I think, I know, I hit the overload button a few times.
This 2025 there are already preorders, but my goal will be to be more selective

I prefer Sylva when I can get into the deep jazz groove. When I can, it's bliss.
For more frequent rotation, I listen to How We Roll. I get into the lyrics and perceived intent behind them.

Both to me have most excellent content.

But we likes what we likes, I know I don't stick on one genre exclusively for long, though I confess to binging on some artists often.

Tonight it's Blackfield Live in NYC.

It’s interesting relistening to these Parson Project discs. Tales and Eye in the Sky sound great but Ammonia Avenue sounds hard and Turn of a Friendly Card sounds bright. There’s the same brightness with the 5.1 mix on this disc too but the Atmos is decent until we get to the fifth track, Can’t Take it With You. That is the track I’m on now and it sounds bright in Atmos.

The recent one's are a little bright for my preference as well. Overcompensation by Alan? Don't know. Many of us lose the high end hearing early for various reasons.
Still good stuff though.

I’m on the last track and on the Dolby Atmos track, there’s only two songs (5 & 6), Can’t Take it With You and In the Lap of the Gods that sound bright but those two sound a bit off too. The rest of the songs sound decent but not great. It’s a shame because it’s one of my very favorite APP albums.

I've had this sitting with my other discs, sealed, for over a year, because saying "limited numbered edition" and giving it to me sealed, 19 years out of print, is a great way to trick my brain into thinking the album I bought for $18 on eBay is worth keeping sealed. 😅 Finally opened it on Xmas eve and played it. Great quality.
